Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts are underway and the needs are unprecedented.
St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church is helping to coordinate relief efforts as follows:
First, if you want to help, funds are greatly needed. Thousands of families and individuals are in need here in Brazoria County immediately south of Houston.
GIVING
If you want funds to go directly and immediately to families in Brazoria County (cities of Lake Jackson, Angleton, Freeport, Clute, Richwood, Brazoria and similar) that are flooded and need help you may contribute to the St. Timothy’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
Additionally, we are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and funds may also go to Episcopal Relief and Development

PRAYER
Prayer is so important because by it we acknowledge our dependence on God. He does hear and he does respond and is always more ready to hear than we are to pray. Our parish and all churches are praying for all in need, but please join us in these prayers from the Book of Common Prayer:
Morning
O God, our heavenly Father, behold, we beseech thee, the afflictions of thy people. Preserve them in every peril of flood and tempest. Bear their sorrows and their cares; supply all their manifold needs; protect and prosper all those who work for their relief; and help both them and us to put our whole trust and confidence in thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Evening
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love’s sake. Amen.
