Rector Search Process
Updated 1-19-2017 by Marianne Essington.
I am happy to report that we are in the next step of our search process and we will be interviewing our prospective candidates in late January or early February. This is exciting to us as a team and our prospective candidates are excited to move forward in meeting us as well!
Many people are to be thanked for the work that has been done prior to the formation of this committee, such as the Vision Event, the Holy Cow Survey and the compiling of information for the Parish Profile. This work, is what has given the search committee our guide, and our compass in our discernment.
If you have not done so please take a look at the St Timothy’s Profile that is posted online. Scroll down and read the document “The Rector We Seek”.
To name a few points you will read that;
“We seek a rector whose sermons, teaching and leadership of worship inspires us.
You will read that;
We seek Christian formation that enhances our knowledge, deepens our faith and spiritual journey.
We want someone that will work with our musical and artistic talents, and someone that will help us create more opportunities for small groups.
And you will read that we seek a rector that can help us build consensus to implement important changes gradually over time.
There will be a direct link the Parish Profile in this week's "St Timothy's This Week".
Be assured that your Search committee is grounded in strong spiritual leadership that is being led by our chaplain Chris Weis. We thank you for your support and continued prayers!
Blessings,
Marianne Essington

Message from Marianne Essington,
Chair of our Rector Search Committee.
The Search Committee is Active!
First, I would like to thank the search committee appointees for saying "yes" and being willing to serve. Secondly, I would like to ask the parish to pray for this committee collectively and individually. Pray that we will be given wisdom and consensus in discerning our next rector for our St Timothy's Family.
Our first task as a committee was to participate in a training led by the Rev. Francene Young, Transition Minister at The Diocese of Texas. Our next step is to develop the questions we feel are important to ask in an interview. We will be meeting this week to develop these questions by using our Vision, Mission and Core value statements as a guide along with what we learned in our training. Although some specifics of the process will be confidential, please feel free to relate any concerns and /or questions to anyone on the committee. All of us our eager to move forward in the process of calling our next rector for St Timothy's and we appreciate your support and prayers.
