St. Timothy's ministries to share the Light of Christ with others during Advent
- Surfside workday is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, at 8:30 a.m. Many of our neighbors are without homes. The plan is to provide basic clean-up services to enable future building. Please be alert to the Hurricane Ike board in the Narthex. New information will be posted on a routine basis.
- St. Vincent's House, whose mission is to help the working poor on Galveston Island, lost it's preschool to Hurricane Ike. They are now rebuilding and St. Timothy's is collecting both money and materials to help them! You can bring your donations to the church Narthex or drop a check in the offering plate made out to St. Timothy's with "St. Vincent's preschool" on the memo line. The money will be used to buy some of the bigger ticket items. Thanks for your help!!
- Angel Tree and Community Partners Blessing Children gathers gifts to share God's love by helping meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners and to benefit neglected or abused youngsters served by Brazoria County Children's Protective Services. Gift requests are hung on the Christmas Tree in the Narthex. Please place wrapped gifts with the tag attached under the tree by December 14. We will need 14 volunteers to help deliver the gifts. Please contact Josie Griffin (979-415-4152) to assist.
- Salvation Army Bellringing will take place December 11 and 13 at Food King in Lake Jackson. Sign-up at the M&M table.
Christmas Outreach Angel Tree & Community Partners Blessing Children
Angel Tree is a unique ministry that gives us an opportunity to share Christ’s love by helping to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners. Participating in Angel Tree is a powerful way for our church community to lovingly answer the biblical call to minister to the least of these. We have made an annual commitment to this highly rewarding program and recognize it as a way to care for some of the most overlooked members of our community. Also, please prayerfully consider volunteering to “Share the Gospel” Luke 2:1-20 and to deliver gifts to our Angel Tree Families. We will need 14 volunteers to help deliver gifts.. Please call Josie Griffin 979-415-4152 if you are interested. |
