Worshiping at St. Timothy's
A Glimpse of Sunday Services
This communion service is a simple ceremony in a quiet, meditative mood, without music. The service uses traditional King James language from the Book of Common Prayer (Rite One) and includes a sermon. Generally, the attendance is small, around 15 to 20 friendly people.
This communion service is fuller, livelier and draws on the Anglican tradition of exceptional music, so well upheld by St. Timothy’s. Music is led both by the Senior Choir, supported by organ, and a youthful praise band, the Joiful Noyse, supported by keyboard. The worship includes a sermon and incorporates some variety in its liturgical details from Sunday to Sunday. Yet, because the entire service is laid out in the pew bulletin, it can easily be followed.
A nursery is provided during the 10:30 service.
Worship for the Whole Family
People of all ages participate in worship at St. Timothy's. Families including children and infants are welcome at all worship services. To help children during the service, we offer Quiet Bags and packets in the entrance. Bags (ages 3-5) contain a quiet church friend, book and activities. Packets (K-3rd grade) contain books and activities. A nursery is available for infants and toddlers from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
