Glimpse of Sunday Services
7:30
A.M.
This
communion service is a simple ceremony in a quiet, meditative mood,
without music. The service uses traditional King James language
from the Book of Common Prayer, and includes a brief
homily. About 10 people gather
at this simple gathering.
8:30 A.M. *
This
communion service is informal and contemporary in tone and structure. Music
includes synthesizer, guitars and a variety of
other instruments. People of all ages lead the worship
as lectors, prayer leaders and musicians. The service uses
contemporary language from the Book of Common Prayer, and runs less than one hour.
10:45
A.M. *
This
communion service features our organ and Senior Choir. The
language is contemporary, yet the liturgy is traditional,
including a choir procession,
chanting, bells, and traditional music led by the Senior Choir. This service
lasts about an hour and ten minutes. It
seeks to expand and enhance St. Timothy’s history of high
quality music and liturgy.
*A nursery is provided during this service.
Worship for the Whole Family
People
of all ages participate in worship at St. Timothy's.
Families including children and infants are welcome at all
worship services. To help children during the service, we offer Quiet Bags
and packets in the entrance. Bags (ages 3-5) contain
a quiet church friend, book and activities. Packets
(K-3rd grade) contain books and activities. A nursery
is available for infants and toddlers from 8:00 a.m. until
12:30 p.m.
